Job Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Hostess or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Experience with reservation and seating software (e.g. OpenTable) is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the restaurant, and direct them to an available table or waitlist
- Manage reservations and ensure that tables are available and ready for reserved guests
- Maintain a tidy and organized waiting area, ensuring that it is clean and well-stocked
- Answer customer inquiries about menu items, wait times, and restaurant policies
- Manage waitlists during peak hours, providing accurate wait time estimates to customers
- Communicate with the kitchen staff and servers to ensure that tables are turned over quickly and efficiently
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager
